For machine repairs, preventive maintenance or retrofit, we rely on an external company with whom we have been working for years. The repair or preventive maintenance is planned via Verbist Tools or VTE, as well as the paperwork that goes with it. Our representative will first come to the customer without obligation to define whether the breakdown is mechanical, electrical or electronic. We take pictures of the breakdown if it is immediately visible visually and also note all the details of the machine in question such as type and serial number. We then consult briefly with the engineer so that the right technician is directed and we avoid that an engineer with a mechanical background would have to repair a machine with an electrical breakdown and thus return home to send the correct one.
With preventive maintenance, maintenance of machines is carried out periodically, in consultation with the customer. The maintenance technician draws up a preventive maintenance manual in which all parameters of the machine are stated. In this way, the technician can continue working at the next maintenance, taking into account what was stated in the manual last time. For example, if critical clearances on bearings or shafts were observed, it can now be seen whether those clearances have worsened or have remained within tolerance. If it has got worse, it will be agreed with the customer whether or not this should be repaired. A quote of the breakdown is always prepared first. Working hours are counted in according to the rate list which can be obtained on request.
